Artic Adventure

Join this trek for a challenge like no other in the real-life Narnia of Northern Finland

You’ll navigate and snowshoe as a team through the wilderness, camp in the snow, build your own meal plans and even make an igloo!

The adventure will start with a day and a half of sub-zero survival preparation, acclimatisation and challenge training with the Arctic experts at the adventure base lodge in Kuusamo. Then you’ll head out into the wilderness.

Surrounded by nothing but pristine nature, you’ll navigate as a team to the finish point, with the Arctic Experts and at least one challenge doctor on hand every step of the way. You’ll head your compasses North and trek together through a serene, snowy wonderland. Pulling all the gear you need in sledges, you’ll snowshoe by day and make your own meals and set your own camp at night and if you’re lucky you may even see the Northern Lights!

You’ll also learn literal life lessons, like making a campfire and cooking meals sufficient to survive in the cold and navigating with a map and compass in the snow.

At the end of your expedition, you return to the lodge for a well-deserved sauna and a chance to build and sleep in your own igloos. If that’s not enough to get excited about, you can also jump on an optional ice fishing tour on the biggest spring in Europe, Lake Kitka and/or a visit to the stunning Ruka ski centre.

Worried about fundraising?
