What is Ask the Expert?

Ask the Expert is for anyone with questions or concerns about;

We're currently getting lots of questions about not being able to get a smear test. If you're affected by this, this blog may help >.

Submit your question through our online form and it will be assessed by a member of our experienced Jo’s Team. Depending on the type of question, they will provide you with the information you are looking for or they will anonymise your query (remove any personal details) and send it to an appropriate member of our medical panel.

You will receive an initial email confirming we have received your query (please do check your junk mail) and get an email response to your query within 14 working days (this may take longer during busy periods). You will be told in the email if it was someone from the Jo’s Team or one of our medical panellists who has responded to your query.

Due to legal reasons this service is only available to UK residents. If you are outside the UK we will not be able to process your query.

It is important to note that we are a cervix based charity and for legal reasons our panel members can only respond to questions that relate to the cervix. If you have a question relating to other areas of the body please see our HPV and other cancers FAQs. If you have questions about the HPV vaccine this is also covered in a section on our website.
