THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT
From everyone at Jo's, we want to say a huge thank you to our amazing supporters! In our first year doing the Big Give Christmas Campaign, we've managed to meet our target of £5,000. We are incredibly grateful for all your support and fundraising efforts. Every penny will go towards supporting those affected by cervical cancer.
“More than ever, we are grateful for your support as every pound donated or raised makes a difference, helping us to reduce the impact of cervical cancer until it is eliminated from our society.“
Samantha Dixon, CEO of Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust
In 2022, Jo's took part in the Big Give Christmas Challenge to raise much needed funds for our Support Services. On the telephone, online or face-to-face, we support thousands of women and people with a cervix, as well as their loved ones to reduce the impact of cervical cancer.
We raised a total of £5,000 through the appeal, with every individual donation up to the value of £2,500 to be matched pound-for-pound by the Women and Girls Fund.
Every donation makes a true difference and is all the more appreciated as we're living in a difficult time.
"Receiving professional feedback on issues that are so personal is what really motivated me to donate regularly to the trust. The service as well as all the informative and well explained content on the Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust website was very helpful and really supported me" — Janki, a regular supporter
Each year 3,200 women and people with a cervix are diagnosed with cervical cancer, with thousands living with and beyond the disease. A further 220,000 are told they have cell changes which may, if left untreated, lead to cervical cancer. From our research we know many women who go for screening feel scared & unprepared for an unexpected result; the impact of cancer can be truly isolating.
"Thank you so much for your time, advice and for really putting my mind at ease. The person who I spoke to was so patient with me and answered all questions I had. I feel so much better after our call and I am so grateful that there is a charity in place to offer the services you do." — Sophie, a donor and Helpline caller
No question is too big or small for our Support Services. We provide tailored information and support at every step. With more resource we can open our Helpline for longer, answer more email enquiries, deliver more support events and expand the reach of our website & online services.
"I was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer last September. The information in your website and in particular the support in the forum was really helpful." — Paula, an online service user
